DALLAS — For the second time in her career, Dallas Wings' guard Arike Ogunbowale has been named to the All-WNBA Second Team.

The last time Ogunbowale received these honors was in 2021, and prior to that, the Wings' star earned First Team honors in 2020.

This season, Ogunbowale led the league in steals per game (2.13), free-throw percentage (.921) and minutes played (38.6). In addition, she was second in scoring (22.2), which is the highest scoring average for the league's steals leader in WNBA history.

In 28 of 38 games played, Ogunbowale scored more than 20 points, scoring 30 points or more six times and 40 points once.

The guard even matched the all-time WNBA record for three-pointers made on Sept. 1 against the Indiana Fever when she hit nine of them.

Ogunbowale made franchise history by becoming the organization's career-scoring leader on Sept. 12 against the New York Liberty. By scoring 11 points in this contest, Ogunbowale surpassed Deanna "Tweety" Nolan's 3,971-point career with 3,972 of her own -- and it took her 100 fewer games.

Shortly after this amazing feat, Ogunbowale made WNBA history by becoming the fastest player in league history to reach 4,000 career points.

Additional members named to the All-WNBA Second Team are as follows:

  • Sabrina Ionescu
  • Jonquel Jones
  • Kahleah Copper
  • Nneka Ogwumike

Each member named to the All-WNBA Second Team will receive $5,150, according to the Dallas Wings.
