INDIANAPOLIS — It came down to a pull-up three.

In Sunday's game against the Indiana Fever, Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale made WNBA history, becoming the fastest player to reach 4,000 career points.

In just six seasons with the Wings, Ogunbowale sits at No. 47 on the WNBA all-time scoring list with 4,014 points and counting. She hit 4,000 in her 195th game, dethroning Breanna Stewart, who accomplished the feat in her 196th game.

Ogunbowale hit this major milestone just days after topping the Wings' all-time scoring list.

Last season, Ogunbowale passed Deanna Nolan for most made three-pointers in Shock/Wings franchise history.

Ogunbowale is known for her scoring ability and clutch performances. In 2021, she earned her first All-Star Game MVP, and three years after that she won the award again, making her one of the few WNBA players to achieve this feat twice.

She also set the All-Star scoring record with 34 points playing against and beating the U.S. Olympic team this year.

Ogunbowale is also six minutes away from breaking the single-season record for minutes played in the WNBA; a record she already holds after playing 1,489 minutes in 2023.

Ogunbowale has been a bright spot in a losing season for the Wings. Right now, the team sits at the second-to-last spot in the WNBA rankings with a measly 9-30 record; a massive drop-off from the team's 2023 season where they finished 4th in the league.

The Wings final chance to get a win comes Thursday as they take on the Las Vegas Aces in Sin City.
