Caliente! We had record heat for Cinco de Mayo at DFW.

It's been a hot and humid day.

DALLAS —

STICKY!

It was a HOT... well, CALIENTE... Cinco de Mayo in North Texas. DFW hit a record high temperature of 96°. The old record was 95° set back in 1984.

The heat is one thing... but the humidity made it  A LOT worse. We had extremely high humidity Friday which made heat index values as high as 103°.

Weekend forecast

Some good news. Some bad news. The weekend won't be quite as hot as Friday, but the high humidity isn't going anywhere. Heat index values over the weekend will be in the middle to upper 90s.
