DALLAS — Fall is finally coming. Here's what we're expecting this weekend and beyond, including lows in the 40s on the 7-day forecast:
A warmup followed by rain and cooler weather
En español: Clima en DFW: Cálido para empezar la semana con clima más fresco y lluvia en el pronóstico
It'll be warmer Saturday with 90s for the afternoon. It'll be mostly sunny to start with added clouds during the afternoon.
It's not impossible to see a pop-up storm Saturday afternoon-evening, but most places will be dry. IF that happens, chances are mainly for western and northern North Texas.
A good chance for showers and storms exists on Sunday, especially during the morning hours.
It won't rain constantly all day long everywhere in North Texas, but showers and storms will be out there.
A round of showers and storms will move out of Oklahoma into northern North Texas during the early morning hours on Sunday. That round will keep pushing south through the rest of North Texas during the morning.
By the afternoon into evening, shower and storm coverage looks lower for most of North Texas. The exception being western and southern areas where rain chances may be a little higher.
Rain and storm timeline:
Real fall arrives!
After a summer-like Saturday, things will be better Sunday with afternoon temps in the 70s for most.
However, the real push of cooler air arrives on Monday with highs in the 60s.
By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will be well down in the 60s with morning lows in the 40s for most!
