19 SMU Football players earn All-ACC honors ahead of conference championship game

DALLAS — The SMU Mustangs are represented well in the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) teams that were announced by the conference on Tuesday. 

In total, 19 football players earned All-ACC honors: three on the first team, two on the second team, three on the third team and 11 were named to the honorable mention list. 

Running back Brashard Smith, defensive tackle Jared Harrison-Hunte and safety Isaiah Nwokobia were named to the First-Team All-ACC. 

During the 2024 regular season, Smith rushed for 1,157 yards and 14 touchdowns. Harrison-Hunte recorded 35 tackles, including six tackles for loss and five sacks, while Nwokobia tallied 91 tackles and three interceptions.

Center Jakai Clark and linebacker Kobe Wilson were named to the All-ACC Second Team.

Clark has been a steady presence, starting 11 consecutive games at center this season. Wilson finished the year with 95 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.

Quarterback Kevin Jennings, offensive tackle PJ Williams, and offensive guard Logan Parr were named to the All-ACC Third Team.

Jennings, who did not start at the beginning of the season, threw for 2,746 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 344 yards and four touchdowns.

The following players were named to Honorable-Mention All-ACC:

  • Justin Osborne - Offensive Guard
  • Elijah Roberts - Defensive End
  • Kori Roberson Jr. - Defensive Tackle
  • Ahmad Walker - Linebacker
  • Brandon Crossley - Cornerback 
  • Ahmaad Moses - Safety
  • Jonathan McGill - Safety
  • Collin Rogers - Placekicker 
  • Collin Rogers - Specialist 

SMU is gearing up for the ACC Championship game against Clemson on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
