DALLAS — Alex Rodriguez, rapper Mase and the dudes from Dude Perfect among the celebrities in attendance for Kyrie Irving's home game debut in Dallas.
Normally a Monday night game draws a slightly smaller, slightly less inebriated audience.
But, this was no ordinary Monday night.
It was the first time All-Star starters Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving stepped foot on the American Airlines Center together.
A handful of Mavericks fans sported No. 2 Irving jerseys, in support of the Mavs newcomer.
Doncic and Irving played their first game together on Saturday night in Sacramento, which ended in a 133-128 loss to the Kings in overtime.
Two hours prior to tip-off, Irving was formally introduced, along with forward Markieff Morris, by Mavs general manager and longtime friend Nico Harrison.
Kyrie went through warm-ups before his media session.
Doncic, however, warmed up closer to gametime ih his bright red Air Jordan 'El Matador' sneakers. In typical Luka fashion, he drilled a half-court short in one try.
