DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks announced that they have signed forward Naji Marshall, a four-year veteran, from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Marshall is 6-foot-7-inches tall and coming off of a career-high year in field goal percentage at .463 and thee-point shooting percentage at .387.

The forward went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, but he signed with the Pelicans on a two-way contract in December of that year, later signing a multi-year deal in May of 2021.

"The addition of Naji enhances our team's defensive versatility, rebounding, and playmaking abilities," Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison stated. "He plays with great energy, and as one of the top competitors within the NBA, we are eager to see him contribute to our success.”

Marshall played three years at Xavier, earning Big East All-Freshman Team, First Team and Second Team selections throughout his tenure.

The Mavericks say that Marshall will wear No. 13 for the team.

The specific terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Mavs. However, NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that it's a three-year deal worth $27 million.
