Who are the umpires for Rangers-Astros ALCS series?

Major League Baseball announced the crews for both the ALCS and NLCS on Friday.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros will face off in the American League Championship Series -- and, as franchises, for the first time ever in the postseason -- starting on Sunday in Houston

And we now know who will be calling the games throughout what will surely be a heated series

Major League Baseball announced the umpire crews for both the ALCS and NLCS on Friday.

In the Texas-based series, the proceedings be led by 16-year MLB umpire and regular season crew chief James Hoye, whose crew includes regular season crew chiefs Dan Bellino and Marvin Hudson as well as Jordan Baker, Doug Eddings, Mark Ripperger and Stu Scheurwater.

Placing seven umpires on each crew allows for distinct home plate assignments in a potential seven-game series, MLB officials said in its Friday release.

One of the seven umpires will be off the field in each game.

Hudson will serve as as Crew Chief in Game Two when Hoye is off the field. The umpires who will serve as replay officials during the ALCS are Mike Estabrook, Jeremie Rehak and Chris Segal, per the MLB.

Here is a look at the ALCS schedule and ticket information. Rangers fans will also be able to watch their ALCS road games at watch parties in DFW
