The Texas Rangers will play the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023 World Series. Here's where and when.

Texas is headed back to the World Series for the first time since 2011! They'll face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks in a best-of-seven series.

HOUSTON — Texas and Houston squared off in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series on Monday night at Minute Maid Park, and the Rangers snagged the win.

But who will the Rangers play in the World Series? And when will those games take place?

The Rangers will next face the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2023 World Series. The D-backs won their own win-and-you're-in Game 7 over the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLCS on Tuesday night to make the fall classic matchup official.

The Rangers will have home field advantage in the best-of-seven series --  meaning they'll host Games 1 and 2, and, if necessary, Games 6 and 7 -- at Globe Life Field in Arlington, starting on Friday, Oct. 27.

The Rangers (90-72) had a better regular-season record than the Diamondbacks (84-78), which is why they'll have home field advantage.

Here's what the World Series schedule would look like for the Rangers:

  • Friday, Oct. 27: Game 1 - Arizona/Philadelphia at Texas
  • Saturday, Oct. 28: Game 2 - Arizona/Philadelphia at Texas
  • Monday, Oct. 30: Game 3 - Texas at Arizona/Philadelphia
  • Tuesday, Oct. 31: Game 4 - Texas at Arizona/Philadelphia
  • Wednesday, Nov. 1: Game 5 (if necessary) - Texas at Arizona/Philadelphia
  • Friday, Nov. 3: Game 6 (if necessary) - Arizona/Philadelphia at Texas
  • Saturday, Nov. 4: Game 7 (if necessary) - Arizona/Philadelphia at Texas
