FRISCO, Texas — Ready for even more basketball on KFAA 29?

On Monday, Dec. 2, WFAA sister station KFAA (Ch. 29) and its parent company TEGNA announced a multi-year partnership with the Texas Legends, NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, to make the station the team's official broadcast partner.

Over the course of the Legends' 2024-2025 campaign, KFAA 29 will broadcast over 20 Legends basketball games live -- for free -- over the air on KFAA 29.

This is in addition to the 70-plus Mavericks games already airing on KFAA 29 this year

KFAA 29 will broadcast every Legends game this season in which there isn't a direct conflict in programming with Mavericks games.

“Texas Legends basketball has a rich tradition, and we are thrilled to bring their games to more viewers across the DFW area,” said Carolyn Mungo, WFAA/KFAA president and general manager. “This partnership allows us to showcase the future stars of the NBA while connecting communities to the passion of G League basketball.”
