DALLAS — Last week, Dallas police announced officers they were urgently searching for a suspect accused of two Dallas murders.
Ana Aguirre and Katherine Borders identified their sons as the victims to WFAA. Ana's son, Isaac, was only 16 years old. Katherine's son, Aarzo, was only 27.
By Monday, police announced their search had ended, an arrest was made for both of their murders.
Then Tuesday, the two women met for the first time.
"This shouldn’t have been the thing that connected us," Aguirre cried.
Borders said her son was engaged to be married, and looking forward to starting a family.
"A lot of dreams and future and hopes just destroyed," she told WFAA.
Isaac, Aguirre said, loved to be silly and carry his girlfriend's books.
"Just full of love just a big heart…he loved all his family, all his brothers and his little sister," she sobbed
The two women spoke on the phone when they learned their sons shared a murder suspect. But they met for the first time Tuesday after word broke Dallas PD ended its search and made an arrest.
"My son was there to greet Isaac and to welcome him into heaven so that he wasn’t alone," Katherine cried.
"This shouldn’t have been the thing that connected us," Aguirre added.
These women were complete strangers but now plan to support each other and fight together in court for justice for their boys.
"Put him up for a long time so no one else has to go through this," Ana said.
