DALLAS — Sen. Ted Cruz and Democratic challenger Colin Allred will face off in "The Texas Debate" tonight on WFAA.

This will lead to a change in WFAA programming.

"The Texas Debate" between the two candidates will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at WFAA's studio, and it will be broadcast across Texas. In addition to airing on WFAA, the debate will be livestreamed on the WFAA+ app. The streaming app is available for download on Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire, as well as on iPhone and Android.

Pre-debate coverage will start on WFAA+ at 3 p.m., and there will also be analysis immediately following the debate. Also, we’ll have live coverage and recaps of the debate on WFAA.com, as well as additional context and background on each candidate and their platforms.

Due to the airing of "The Texas Debate," the first hour of the two-hour show "Dancing with the Stars" will be on WFAA's 8.2 over-the-air broadcast signal. The full two-hour Dancing with the Stars episode will also be available on ABC streaming platforms starting Wednesday morning.

The second hour of Dancing with the Stars will air live on WFAA's 8.1 over-the-air channel when "The Texas Debate" concludes at 8 p.m.
