Santa's Helpers...in September! Donate to WFAA's 55th annual toy drive in partnership with North Texas Giving Day

For the first time, WFAA's Santa's Helpers toy drive is an officially recognized charity for North Texas Giving Day

DALLAS — Santa's Helpers is entering its 55th year! This year, the season of giving starts in September and we need your help!

For the first time, WFAA's Santa's Helpers toy drive is an officially recognized charity for North Texas Giving Day.

Now through September 19, supporters can make a financial donation to Santa's Helpers via the North Texas Giving Day website.

North Texas Giving Day, operated by the Communities Foundation of Texas, is the largest community-wide giving event in the country. Last year, organizations raised more than $60 million benefiting more than 3,000 North Texas non-profit organizations. In its 15-year history, North Texas Giving Day has raised more than $566 million for the community.

Each year, Santa's Helpers collects toys and bicycles from generous North Texans to donate to dozens of local non-profits serving Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties.

In 2023, the 54th annual Santa's Helpers toy drive collected more than 57,000 toys. Since 2016, Santa's Helpers has collected more than 500,000 toys serving 500,000 children and teens.

This year, Santa's Helpers forecasts a growing need. Every dollar donated goes to purchasing additional toys at wholesale prices to meet the increasing demand.

In December, WFAA will hold five official Santa's Helpers drive-thru events where you can drop off new, unwrapped toys.
