DALLAS — Some North Texas school districts have canceled some after-school activities on Monday because of the threat of severe storms.

A tornado watch is in effect for much of North Texas Monday until 6 p.m.

The largest district in the area, Dallas ISD, canceled after-school activities because of the weather.

UIL volleyball playoff games scheduled for Molina at Bryan Adams, Sunset at Skyline and Madison at Guyer in Dallas ISD will go on as planned, though.

Dallas ISD says some bus routes may also be delayed.

Garland ISD also canceled all after-school outdoor activities, but indoor activities are expected to go on as planned. The district says only middle school football is impacted.

Dismissal will also continue at normal time.

"We will continue to monitor the weather closely and keep you updated if any games or activities are delayed," Garland ISD says.

Fort Worth ISD moved the start of middle school football games to 6:30 p.m. and says bus service may be impacted.
