FORT WORTH, Texas — After “Mad Men” actor Jon Hamm was spotted in DFW, JD’s Hamburgers tried to entice Hamm to make a stop there, too.
JD’S Hamburgers co-owner Gigi Howell announced in a video posted to Facebook that their special this week is the “Jon Hammburger.”
“We heard there’s a very handsome and very funny celebrity in town. We’d love him to stop by,” Howell said in the video posted March 4.
Hamm recently joined the cast of the Paramount+ show “Landman” filming in Fort Worth. “Landman” co-created by “Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, is set in the proverbial oil boomtowns of West Texas, and also stars Billy Bob Thornton.
As WFAA has reported, Hamm stopped by Goldee’s Barbecue in Fort Worth, which topped Texas Monthly’s statewide barbecue ranking. He and his wife, Anna Osceola, also stopped by Dolly Python in East Dallas this weekend.
The “Jon Hammburger” features a wagyu and chorizo patty topped with bleu cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onions, and a red pepper aioli, according to the restaurant.
Howell also announced in the video that JD’s Hamburgers is also offering a Don Draper Old Fashioned in a nod to Hamm’s “Mad Men” character.
