SANSOM PARK, Texas — The Sansom Park Police Department says officers arrested a juvenile suspect Saturday for his involvement in a deadly shooting earlier this month.
According to police, 42-year-old Richard Applegate was shot and killed by the suspect in the 3100 block of Skyline Drive on June 21.
Police said two male suspects had fled the scene prior to officers' arrival.
According to police, Sansom Park PD obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and with help from the Saginaw Police Department, they were able to locate him within 30 minutes of issuing a warrant.
Sansom PD says there are no outstanding suspects in this case and it was believed to be an isolated incident.
"We want to express our gratitude for the assistance of our community and our neighboring partners in this incident," Sansom PD said in a statement.
