Two arrested in North Texas Walgreens robbery with pharmacist held at gunpoint, clerk seriously injured, police say

In addition to the Lake Worth robbery, Fort Worth police said the two suspects are tied to another robbery in which two more people are wanted.

LAKE WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police said two suspects have been arrested in what they believe to have been a "commerce robbery ring." Officials said the suspects in custody are connected to an armed robbery that happened at a Walgreens in Lake Worth in October.

In a news release posted on social media, police identified the suspects as 35-year-old Henry Pierre Rogers and 31-year-old Jhamal Antwan Farris. They're both said to be in custody at the Tarrant County Jail.

Police believe they are responsible for the Walgreens robbery and a separate robbery at a Metro PCS in Fort Worth. Since the two business are involved in interstate and foreign commerce, police said the FBI has been involved in the department's operations.

Fort Worth police said they're looking for two more suspects in the Metro PCS robbery. One of them has been identified as 32-year-old Demond Deshun Scott of Grand Prairie.

According to Lake Worth police, the Walgreens robbery happened just before 3:40 a.m. on Oct. 15 at the pharmacy located in the 6200 block of Lake Worth Boulevard.

They said one suspect pulled a pharmacist's hair, forced her to removed controlled substances from a secure storage area, then took her at gunpoint to a back office. At that same time, police said another suspect tased a front desk clerk and dragged her to the back office at gunpoint.

Both suspects then reportedly forced the pharmacist to open the safe in the back office. Police said the suspects placed about $5,000 in cash into a trash can and fled from the Walgreens in a black Chevrolet Impala.

In its update, Fort Worth police said the clerk who was tased is recovering from surgery.

The Fort Worth robbery reportedly happened on Oct. 30 at Metro PCS on East Allen Avenue near JPS Hospital.

At about 5:30 p.m., police said one suspect scoped out the store then left. A second suspect came back with a weapon at 6:20 p.m. and ordered an employee to the back of the store.

The third suspect reportedly came in, stole electronics and about $900 in cash, then blocked the employee off from escaping. A fourth suspect acted as lookout until the robbery was done and the group left.
