FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are looking for five people they believe to be involved in a shooting that injured a man last month in Fort Worth’s West 7th entertainment district. Police released new information about possible suspects Tuesday.
Police say they found a man shot at the intersection of Bledsoe Street and Currie Street at about 1 a.m. March 17.
Police say they’re looking for three males and two females in connection with the shooting.
“The shooting was proceeded by an argument by an argument and physical fight between the victim and 5 unknown suspects,” Fort Worth police said in a social media post. “At this time, Detectives believe that the members of the 5-person suspect group are responsible for the shooting.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Fort Worth police at 817-372-3781 or contact Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County anonymously at 817-469-8477.
The March 17 shooting was the third in the entertainment district in about six months at the time.
Since a stranger fatally shot TCU student Wes Smith outside a bar off West 7th Street in September 2023, city leaders reportedly ramped up police patrols in the region, and some bars started scanning patrons for weapons using metal-detecting wands.
