DFW weather timeline: Storms move to the east; flooding, flight problems remain

While showers and storms have moved to the east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, flooding problems and flight delays and cancellations remain.

DALLAS — Severe weather moved east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area Wednesday afternoon, leaving the majority of North Texas to dry out for the night. 

Much of Fort Worth and other areas across North Texas saw flooding, and flight delays and cancellations caused lots of consternation.

Rainfall Totals

Our widespread rain has finally moved east of DFW. Most of North Texas picked up between 1"-2" of rainfall. Most of this fell very quickly, which is why there was flooding in typical flood-prone locations and some roadways. Here's a look at our rainfall totals updated as of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
