DALLAS — After abruptly closing its four Dallas stores in April, Chicago-based Foxtrot Market is reopening two North Texas locations next month.
The company announced on Thursday it will be reviving its Knox Street (3130 Knox St.) and Snider Plaza (6565 Hillcrest Ave.) locations in January. Foxtrot Market is an upscale corner store selling artisan products and fresh, daily-made products
The company's previous owner, Outfox Hospitality, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy back in June after shutting down all Foxtrot locations across Chicago, Dallas, Austin and Washington D.C. Since then, Foxtrot's founder, and current chairman, Mike LaVitola has started the process of reopening Foxtrot locations. So far, five locations have been reopened in Chicago.
"We are delighted to welcome our Dallas neighbors back to our newly reopened locations on Knox Street and in Snider Plaza, University Park," Foxtrot Co-Founder and Dallas native, Taylor Bloom, said in a statement. "These refreshed stores showcase our commitment to partnering with exceptional purveyors, offering the finest ingredients, and creating a warm, inviting space where the community can gather to enjoy outstanding coffee, delicious food, and meaningful connections every day."
According to Foxtrot, the store will bring back customer favorites like its gummy selection and feature local brands. The company said its reopened markets will also be stepping up its breakfast taco menu, adding new options to the menu like borracho bean, brisket guisado and grilled veggie tacos.
Out of the four markets Foxtrot previously operated in Dallas, the Knox-Henderson and University Park locations are the only two we know are coming back at this time. The one location we know is not returning is the Uptown spot off McKinney. The Dallas Business Journal reports a Berkley's Market will open in that space.
That leaves one former store — the Greenville Ave. location — hanging in limbo.
