DALLAS — Dallasites will soon be able to get their fix of doughnuts from the now-shuttered, award-winning east Dallas fine-dining restaurant and bakery Carte Blanche elsewhere.

The bakery that operated within Carte Blanche’s location on Lower Greenville will be reinvented as La Rue Doughnuts in Trinity Groves, the shop confirmed.

That shop will move into the old Cake Bar space in Trinity Groves. Trinity Groves is a 15-acre development with restaurants, retail, and entertainment in west Dallas.

The new shop is expected to open mid-summer and feature doughnuts in about a dozen flavors, plus a few savory options, according to a spokesperson.

The new shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Carte Blanche earned five stars from Fobes’s Travel Guide in 2023 and a five diamond designation from AAA in 2022, and appeared on Good Morning Texas back in 2021.
