Latin GRAMMY-nominated artist performing opening ceremony of Copa America soccer tournament in U.S.

The opening ceremony will take place on June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, before the first match of the tournament, featuring Argentina and Canada.

ATLANTA — Nine-time Latin GRAMMY nominee Feid will perform at the opening ceremony of Copa America at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

The opening ceremony will take place on June 20 before the first match of the tournament, featuring the reigning champions, Argentina, against Canada, who are making their debut in the world’s oldest international soccer tournament.

The opening match of Copa America is set to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT), but first, the audience in Atlanta and those watching the tournament from home will enjoy a performance by ‘Ferxxo’ with a show featuring some of his biggest hits.

"Since we began organizing Copa America, we focused on involving and supporting artists like Feid, who represent the passion and dedication of South Americans. Our goal is to make this Copa America an unforgettable, vibrant tournament that all fans can feel the greatness of our football, and we are sure that with this opening show, we are moving towards that goal," said Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL.

Feid is a Colombian musician, composer, and producer, known for popularizing terms from the Paisa culture like ‘MOR’ and creating a unique sonic and visual identity within the urban genre.

Feid is among the most listened to artists in the world with global hits like "Luna," which is certified quadruple platinum and has more than 1.6 billion streams worldwide.
