DALLAS — It's finally fall in North Texas. Better yet, it actually feels like it!
With this cool weather, you can finally get out for some fresh air without drowning in sweat. It's a good thing there are plenty of events going on this weekend.
Some of them are welcoming in the fall season with steins in hand, and others are saying "Howdy, folks!"
Friday, Sept. 27
It's officially fair season, y'all! Friday is opening day, so you can be the first in line to try all the new fair food, ride all the new rides and experience the biggest state fair in the country! If you miss opening day, don't worry. The State Fair of Texas runs all the way through Oct. 20.

Fort Worth Oktoberfest is a three-day event chock full of music, activities and traditional Bavarian fare. For the athletes out there, this event hosts a 5k run! But if you're just there to drink beer and be merry, there will be plenty of that too. If you buy tickets early, you can secure yourself a complimentary stein.

Sunday, Sept. 29
Weezer is coming to Dallas, and they're celebrating 30 years of their iconic self-titled album, colloquially known as the Blue Album. As part of their tour, they'll be playing their debut album in full with hits like 'Buddy Holly', 'My Name is Jonas' and 'Say It Ain't So'. Plus, they'll be joined by the Flaming Lips, a band best known for their concept album Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. For Dallas music fans, you might also know them for their rendition of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" featuring local legend Erykah Badu.
