DALLAS — Fourth of July this year marks 248 years of independence for the United States of America. To celebrate, many families will be looking for fireworks shows and other events.
This year, Independence Day falls on a Thursday, so many groups will be celebrating starting June 29.
Here's a list of what is going on in the DFW area:
Saturday, June 29
Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled evening at Celebration Park, where we'll have delicious food, live music and a spectacular fireworks show.

Kick off the Independence Day festivities with a Party in the Park! Enjoy a variety of entertainment including live music, lawn games, and an evening lit up not only by an incredible firework show, but also a 200-piece drone show!

Tuesday, July 2
Sounds of Lewisville concludes with DCTA A-train Red White & Lewisville presented by CoServ featuring ESCAPE – The Journey Tribute band and country singer Jade Flores. A low-level fireworks show will take place following this concert. The fireworks will be launched from the roof of the Lewisville Grand Theater in Old Town.
