Country stars, Cowboys watch parties and fall vibes | Things to do this weekend in DFW

Fall is in full swing, which means festivals, fairs and concerts across North Texas.

DALLAS — Fall is in full swing! Even if it might not quite feel like it yet.

Temperatures will remain in the 90s through the weekend, but don't let that stop you from getting in the fall spirit, from the State Fair of Texas' second weekend underway, Autumn at the Arboretum and other fall-themed events and plenty of live music concerts.

Without further adieu, here's the weekend!

Friday, Oct. 4

State Fair of Texas

The fair rolls on! If you haven't made it out to Fair Park just yet, get prepared and read up on all the new fair food and the new rides and at the biggest state fair in the country! The State Fair of Texas runs all the way through Oct. 20.

Autumn at the Arboretum

Nothing will get you in the fall spirit like a stroll through 100,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash, all hailing from the pumpkin capital of Texas, Floydada. Even if it still feels like summer.

The annual Arboretum event is ongoing through November 3, and this year's theme is "Texas Town," a journey through Texas pioneer life.

Sunday, Oct. 6

Stars of Texas Music Festival

Modern country. Texas country. 90s country. All in one weekend.

The weekend-long Stars of Texas Music Festival at Texas Motorplex in Ennis culminates Sunday with a headlining performance from Lady A, who will be joined by the Eli Young Band, George Birge and Drew Parker. But there's plenty of action before Sunday, too. Nineties country legend Tracy Lawrence is the headliner Saturday night, and he'll be joined by fellow 90s mainstays Shenandoah, Neal McCoy and Little Texas. The event gets kicked off Friday night with a headlining performance from Wade Bowen, who will be joined by Randall King, Roger Creager and Clayton Mullen.
