Widespread reports of flooding poured in from across North Texas Saturday morning as heavy rains fell north of Dallas-Fort Worth.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Hood, Erath and Eastland counties until 5 a.m. Sunday. Many roads were flooded and travel was being discouraged.

In Denton County, a new bridge over Oliver Creek was damaged by floodwaters Saturday after debris being washed down the creek got caught under and on top of the structure.

The rushing water buckled the pavement and tree limbs damaged the guardrails.
