Over the next few hours overnight heading into Friday, widespread storms are likely west of the DFW area.
Heavy rain and lightning the main threats, but severe storms unlikely. Some gusty winds at about 20-30 mph and small hail is possible. East of Dallas, you're looking at some light rain.

For DFW, some scattered storms are possible with best chances for the western half of DFW, which means Denton, Fort Worth, Burleson and areas to the west.
Heading into Friday morning, some lingering showers, but not everyone will see rain. Some of it may redevelop as we head to the afternoon. It's not widespread rain, but very low coverage. By the afternoon, it'll be clear, hot, dry and humid.
