DALLAS — This story was updated at 1 p.m. Wednesday with details of three house fires in Frisco.
Frisco investigators believe lightning is the cause of three house fires that occurred in less than a two-hour period Tuesday night.
Officials with Frisco Fire Department say the first fire occurred at 10:54 p.m. near the 11000 block of Mesa Verde Drive.
Firefighters were able to contain the two-story house fire about 15 minutes later and the residents were able to evacuate before crews arrived, officials say.
The second house fire was reported at 11:09 p.m. near the 600 block of Triple Bar Road. Crews say the roof of this two-story home was on fire when they arrived. There were able to contain the flames around 12:02 a.m.
Around 12:11 a.m. a third house-fire was called in. This time, smoke could be seen coming from the attic of a single-story home near the 8000 block of Cain River Drive. The blaze was contained around 12:36 a.m., officials say.
Frisco fire officials say no firefighters or residents were injured during any of the three incidents.

Power outages
More than 9,000 Oncor customers are still without power Wednesday afternoon after severe weather swept across North Texas overnight. There were more than 400 active outages as of 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Oncor.
A line of thunderstorms began moving across North Texas on Tuesday night and continued through the region, traveling north to south early Wednesday morning.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for many parts of North Texas. A warning was in place for most of the D-FW area until 11:45 p.m. Tuesday as the line moved southeast around 30 to 40 mph.
Damaging winds of 70 mph or stronger were the main severe threat as the line of storms moved through.

In Johnson County, high winds knocked over a semi trailer and the bay doors were ripped off of the county's Precinct 1 barns, according to the emergency management team.
