Updated 5:30 pm. Saturday
If you've been longing for cooler and seasonable temps, this weekend and even next week are for you!
Cooler weather will be around through the weekend and even lasting through next week as well.
Passing rain is likely at times this weekend, but the entire weekend will not be a washout.
Saturday Night
Rain will mainly be in the form of showers, and some could be briefly heavy. Even a lightning strike or two is possible, but severe storms are highly unlikely.
Showers will continue to move east into the overnight hours with highest coverage of rain from D-FW to the east during the night.
Rainfall totals of 50" to 1" look like a decent bet across most of the area. The exceptions are northern and eastern North Texas where a little lower totals of .25" to .50" are possible.
SUNDAY
Rain will move to the east during the morning hours with best chance for rain during the morning across eastern North Texas. Can't rule out some light showers in the D-FW area through the morning, but most places will be dry.
Any rain will move east through the day with skies staying mainly cloudy. However, some clearing is possible during the afternoon and evening with some peeks of sun possible before sunset.
Sunday will once again be cool with afternoon temps only topping out in the 50s.
