How Hurricane Matthew affected each state it hit

As Hurricane Matthew begins to head east into the Atlantic as a post-tropical cyclone, the damage the storm caused has left four states — Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina — picking up the pieces and dealing with heavy flooding.

As Hurricane Matthew begins to head east into the Atlantic as a post-tropical cyclone, the damage the storm caused has left four states — Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina — picking up the pieces and dealing with heavy flooding.

Matthew has killed at least 15 people in the U.S. and left countless more without power.
