Passing showers are possible, but likely not widespread throughout the day.
The day will be cloudy and mild with highs in the 60s.
By evening into nighttime hours, rain will start to increase in coverage from west to east.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Widespread rain returns to North Texas. Rain will increase from west to east across the area with most places seeing rain by Wednesday morning.
Rain will fall mainly in the form of showers, but some embedded thunderstorms are possible with heavier rain. However, the severe weather threat is low for most of North Texas.
If any storms become strong to severe, best chances are south of the D-FW area in southern North Texas into Central Texas where some large hail or strong winds are possible.
WEDNESDAY
Wet.
Wednesday will start off with rain likely for most of North Texas.
Some embedded thunderstorms are possible with heavy rain, but the severe threat is very low.
More concerned with heavy rain potentially causing localized flooding in some locations.
Pack your patience for the morning commute. It will be wet, and it will be messy.
Heavy rain will taper off by midday, but lingering on and off showers will continue through the afternoon into evening.
After some lingering rain into the night, rain will exit from west to east with dry conditions by Thursday morning.

IT'S NOT LIKE WE NEED MUCH MORE
We have had NO shortage of rain this year so far.
After one of the wettest starts to the year on record, we expect another widespread soaker where more than 1" - 3" of rain could fall by Wednesday night.
Widespread flooding is not likely, but isolated instances of flooding are possible. Most likely locations will be low-lying areas and typical flood-prone spots.
