Summer is here.
Temperatures will climb this weekend with highs well into the 90s each day.
An Air Quality Alert or Ozone Action Day is in effect for Saturday, which will likely continue throughout the weekend as well.
Because of light winds and warm temps, elevated amounts of ozone are possible. If you have respiratory issues or are sensitive to increased pollution, please be aware.
How about a little bit of good news?
Afternoon dew points look to stay in the 50s through the weekend into next week. When dew points get above 60 degrees, it starts to feel sticky outside. When dew points are above 70 degrees, it feels uncomfortable to just plain miserable.
If you like rain or at least want some cloud around, you may have to wait a while for that to happen.
High pressure has parked itself over the area and does not look to be moving away anytime soon.
This means hot and dry weather will continue for at least this weekend and next week.
