Monday morning
North Texans woke up to potentially the coldest air of the season Monday morning, with lows in the low 20s in Dallas-Fort Worth and lows in the teens closer to the Red River. Wind chills dipped into the single digits Monday morning.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold again. Winds: N 5-10. Low: 21
TUESDAY: Sunny and chilly. Winds: N 5-10. High: 44.
Week Outlook
Expect very cold temperatures during the first part of the week. High temperatures will only reach the low 30s this afternoon and lows Tuesday morning will dip into the low 20s again. It stays chilly on Tuesday afternoon with highs only in the low 40s.
By mid-week, temperatures will rebound in the mid-50s. The warming trend continues Thursday and Friday with highs returning to the upper 60s and low 70's.
A strong storm system approaches late in the week bringing the chance for some thunderstorms to North Texas Friday night and early Saturday. These winter temps won't last forever!
