DALLAS —
Warmer with rain chances
The end of the week brings much warmer air, higher humidity and storm chances.
Those 90s by late week into the weekend could feature a heat index a few degrees above the temperature. Many locations will be trending upwards of 10 degrees warmer than the norm for early May. The higher humidity comes from a breezy southerly wind returning to North Texas.
Friday storms
The dryline moves back and forth over the next couple of days. This keeps the storm potential elevated during the afternoons Friday and Saturday.
Storm coverage will be lower Friday and Saturday compared to Thursday. The main hazards will be large hail and strong winds.
On Friday, storm coverage looks to be the highest south of DFW towards Central Texas.
