DALLAS — Daily rain chances continue for North Texas through early this week as an unsettled weather pattern continues
Headlines:
- Passing showers and storms possible on Mother's Day
- When it is not raining, it'll be warm and muggy
- More rain possible heading into the workweek
Mother's Day Sunday
Rain chances are better today on Mother's Day than what we saw on Saturday thanks to a disturbance moving into North Texas.
The day will not feature all day rain, but showers and storms are possible especially from central North Texas, including DFW, to the east.
Severe storms are not likely, but can't rule out some strong wind gusts in areas east of DFW during the afternoon into evening. Any thunderstorms will be capable of heavy rain and lightning.
If you have any plans today, keep the umbrella with you, but you likely will not need it all day long.
Next 10 days
This active pattern continues into the workweek with chances for pop-up showers and storms during the afternoon into evening. This type of rain is very hit or miss and more stay dry than see rain on a given day.
