Thursday cold front and rain
Our next front arrived early on Thursday bringing back cooler temps and rain chances. While freezing temps don't look likely behind this front, it will bring a big cool-down compared to the first half of the week
On-and-off showers and storms are possible on Thursday into Thursday night. Rain does not look heavy enough to cause flooding issues and the severe weather threat looks very low. But it does look to be a wet and cool day.
High temps Thursday happened first thing in the morning in the low to mid-60s with falling temps during the day. The afternoon will be spent in the 50s with some places perhaps even seeing some 40s.
Some lingering rain may still be out there to start Friday morning but will be moving out during the day with most of Friday being dry.
November by the numbers
On average, November high temps drop by about ten degrees throughout the month while morning lows dip into the low 40s. November (normally) is not a month that records a lot of rain. Daylight continues to lower with DFW losing about 42 minutes of daylight between the first and last of the month.
November on average reports the first freeze of the season on November 22 for DFW.
14-day forecast
After the rain this week, the upcoming weekend looks dry with pleasant fall weather.
The following week temps starts to warm with rain chances returning to the forecast. The pattern looks a bit unsettled, so the exact timing of rain is not certain. But there will likely be a day or two or three of rain chances the following week into the 3rd week of November.
