Bundle up! North Texas is already feeling like winter

Flood Watch in effect for most of North Texas through Sunday morning.

DALLAS — Chilly air has arrived!

  • Winter-like temps have arrived
  • More rain through Monday morning
  • Frost and freezes possible this week

Monday

Monday will start off with lingering showers mainly from DFW to the south. Those showers will move south or come to an end through throughout the morning on Monday. Most of North Texas will be dry by Monday afternoon.

It will not be warm on Monday at all!

Temps will start the day in the 30s with wind chills below that. And afternoon highs will only be in the mid to upper 40s.

Frost and freezes 

 It will get even COLDER Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Many in North Texas will see their first frost or freeze of the season. A Freeze Watch has been issued for western and northern North Texas for Monday night into Tuesday morning for this reason.

If you have tender vegetation, start making plans to protect it!

The Halloween forecast is looking chilly!

A little spooky? Maybe. Temperatures will be in the 40s/50s for any trick-or-treaters. Skies will be clear and it'll be breezy at times. The wind chill will likely be in the 30s. Plan on an extra layer for the costumes.

After a chilly start to the week, temps will warm back into the 70s by the end of the week into next weekend. It'll be nice to dry out as well after all the rain over the past week with rain chances not returning until sometime the following week.
