This weekend will continue to be below normal, but true Texas heat is on the horizon!
Quick Notes:
- Temps will trend hotter than average
- Typical summer heat returns this week
- Triple digits in the forecast
Here comes real summer...
Highs return to normal and even above normal this week. We may even see a stretch of triple-digit heat. It was all nice while it lasted!
With the climb in temperatures also comes limited rain chances for the area.
Saharan Dust?
Saharan dust returns next week. It is very typical this time of the year. Strong storms over the Saharan Desert haul dust into the atmosphere and it gets picked up by the trade winds. Those winds carry dust across the Atlantic and sometimes make it into Texas! A small, mild plume looks moved in last weekend. A bigger, more dense plume currently over the Caribbean arrives late Tuesday into Wednesday. This may impact some allergy suffers!
