Here's a look at the forecast this week!

Quick Facts:

  • Rainy and chilly Sunday
  • Parts of North Texas could even see snow this weekend!
  • Drying out for the workweek

Rainy Sunday

Widespread thunderstorms have moved out of North Texas, but lingering showers will continue to be possible mainly from DFW to the north the rest of Sunday. Areas south of DFW will likely stay fairly dry most of the day. The farther north and northwest you are the higher and steadier your rain chances Sunday into Sunday night.

Northwestern North Texas could also see a little SNOW Sunday into Sunday night! More details on that below...

Temps will stay chilly all day with hardly any warming at all for most of the area. Temps will hover in the 40s to low 50s all day long. With a breezy wind from the north, it will feel even cooler throughout the day.

Rain timeline:

Say it ain't SNOW!?

It's possible! But not for all of North Texas...

Sunday evening into Sunday night, rain may mix with snow for northern and northwestern North Texas. But since temps will likely be above freezing, most will melt as it hits the ground. This will keep roads in those areas just wet.

Any accumulation will mainly be in light amounts on grassy and elevated surfaces. Higher bursts of snow could result in areas that see some higher totals, but any totals look to mostly be less than 1in.

Higher amounts of snow will be possible for the Texas Panhandle into Oklahoma where Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in place.

14-Day Forecast

Temps go up and down a bit over the next 2 weeks, but still nothing overly cold or Arctic showing up anytime soon. Rain may return, yet again, heading into next weekend.
