DFW Weather: Hotter and drier the rest of the week

Temps will climb and rain chances stay away through the weekend

DALLAS — Be sure to download the WFAA app to track the latest forecast and get alerts from our team.

Here's the latest forecast and timing of rain chances and summer heat:

Quick Notes:

  • Temps climb the rest of the week
  • Summertime heat for the weekend
  • Rain next week?

Late week heat

A rain-free stretch begins late week and through this weekend. Temperatures will climb back into the 90s, but it will only be 3-4° above normal for this time of year. It is June! A constant southerly wind and rain from the previous weeks will keep humidity elevated. Expect the heat index to be higher than the actual temperature just about every day through the weekend. Make sure to take heat precautions!

Next rain chances

Right now, the chances look slim. BUT, we will have to see how an area of unsettled weather in the Gulf of Mexico behaves. We may see a few showers and storms on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

14-Day Forecast

The next chance for rain will be next week thanks to some tropical moisture. As of now, it looks like the highest rain totals will be along the coast, but some of that rain could work its way inland. Be sure to keep checking back in for that.
