Storm chances return this week
The warmth continues this week with highs in the 90s both Monday and Tuesday. Those days will also feature humidity, especially Tuesday, so heat index values will be above the temperature.
As storm chances return by midweek, that will help drop the temp a little bit with highs back in the 80s. We'll fine-tune storm chances as we get closer, but right now best chances appear to be Wednesday and Thursday.
A strong cap will be in place Tuesday, so storms may not form in North Texas.
A couple rounds of heavy rain could cause flooding concerns to return this week as well with another 1 to 2 inches possible for the area.
14 Day
Temps climb again heading into Memorial Day Weekend with 90s for highs through Memorial Day. At this point, the weekend does not look to be a washout, but some rain and storms are possible each day. Don't cancel any plans at this point. Just start thinking about indoor alternatives just in case. Memorial Day Weekend usually features storm chances at some point, so this is nothing new for this time of year.
