DFW Weather: Latest North Texas Thanksgiving week forecast

Cooler weather will be around the rest of the week while cooler air is expected this weekend.

DALLAS — Some changes in the weather this week with cooler weather arriving in time for Thanksgiving.

Quick Facts:

  • Cooler and fall-like the rest of the week
  • Rain chances return this weekend
  • Colder air before next week

Thanksgiving Day

It was a beautiful day!  It was a bit chilly to start, but temps quickly made it to the mid-60s.  We saw some cloud cover, especially east of DFW due to a disturbance to the south.

Post Thanksgiving Rain

Nothing to worry about on Friday! Partly cloudy skies and cool temps.

Saturday we'll cloud up more and some showers are possible across the western part of Texas. A few may try to move into western North Texas late in the day.

Saturday night into early Sunday will bring passing showers, but rain amounts look light in North Texas. Nothing heavy and nothing severe. Showers may be around to start the day, but any rain will move east with a dry Sunday afternoon and evening most likely.

For those traveling, rain could cause wet roads in portions of the state Saturday and Sunday and even some wintry weather is possible in the Panhandle as well.
