DALLAS — Sunday was the coolest day in North Texas since late April. Now, warmer weather is in the forecast.

Quick Facts:

  • Warmer mornings continue this weekend
  • Staying cloudy, warm and dry Sunday
  • Rain possible next week with cooler weather

What to expect Sunday

Temps remain warm this weekend with afternoon highs climbing back into mid and upper 80s.  Still no rain this weekend, but a few more clouds will be around than we've seen lately due to tropical moisture.

Rain

We need rain. Unfortunately, this weekend does not bring any. DFW has a rain deficit of over 12 inches this year. Next week looks to bring a pattern change. A system interacting with tropical moisture will do the trick! As of now, it looks like above normal precipitation is expected middle and end of next week. It is a bit too early to tell timing and exact amounts, but DFW could pick up 1-2 inches next week!

14 Day Forecast

Next week, the pattern does look to shift some. This will bring scattered rain to the region keeping highs in the 80s. A front arrives late week to bring highs into the mid-70s  next weekend. It won't rain all day every day, but there will be at least a small chance every day.
