DALLAS — Our spring-like pattern continues going into the first weekend of March. High temperatures will be near upper 70s today about 10 degrees above normal.
Our south wind will bring a little more moisture in from the Gulf resulting in added clouds Friday and light, scattered showers Saturday morning. Rain coverage on Saturday will be low, near 20% and mostly east of the Metroplex. Until then, sunshine!
The weekend does not look to be a washout, but isolated showers or storms look possible on Saturday. A higher coverage of showers and storms is possible mainly late Sunday as a cold front and dryline approach North Texas. It won't be much of a rain maker. As of now, highest storm threat is northeast of DFW.
The severe weather threat is low, but not zero. Hail and wind are the main concerns.
Next week looks cooler with highs in the 50s to start.
