Next front and rain chances
A cold front will move in on Friday with rain chances mainly for eastern North Texas into East Texas. Scattered showers and storms are possible as the front moves in during the afternoon into evening mainly for eastern areas.
The weekend after the front will be dry with chilly temps on Saturday and temps closer to normal on Sunday. Rain totals look light, less than one-tenth of an inch. The threat of severe weather looks low.
More Freezes?
This weekend will bring chilly mornings behind Friday's cold front. DFW should stay above freezing on Saturday morning, but could see a freeze Sunday morning. In fact, most of North Texas has a chance at freezing temps Sunday morning with best chances in northern and northeastern North Texas.
