Record high Wednesday
DFW broke a well over 100 year record high on Wednesday!
The temp climbed to 83°, which breaks the old record of 82° set in 1905.
Thanksgiving forecast (big changes!)
A strong cold front has arrived in North Texas and much cooler air will be around for Thanksgiving Day.
The morning will be in the 40s and with a decent breeze from the north it will feel like well down into the 30s. Dress warm if you are taking part in any Turkey Trot races!
Clouds will hang around most of the day with some breaks in the clouds or a little clearing during the afternoon. With the northerly breeze and the clouds, that will keep highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Most of the day will be spent in the 40s.
Friday morning freeze
The morning after Thanksgiving will bring the coldest temperatures of fall so far, with a chance of widespread freezing temperatures outside of the DFW area on Friday morning. In immediate DFW, freezing temps chances are low but there could be some patchy frost.
Protect any tender vegetation and bring pets indoors. Some damage could occur to outdoor unprotected plumbing.
