Cool to chilly temps continue
Highs will be in the 50s each day and morning lows will be in the 30s and 40s. Cool to chilly, but not terribly below normal for this time of the winter.
Multiple Rain Chances
The start of 2024 will bring rain chances around every 2-3 days as a series of disturbances move over North Texas.
Today
A round of showers will spread across North Texas during the day Tuesday into Tuesday night. The morning will start off dry, but showers will be on the increase from the mid-afternoon into evening hours.
Highest rain coverage will be from the DFW area to the south.
Rain will be mostly light with totals less than 1/4in and will come in the form of showers. Storms and especially severe weather are unlikely.
Any rain will move out Tuesday night with a dry start to Wednesday.
Friday
Next chance will be during the day Friday into Friday night.
Another round of rain will move across the area during the day on Friday. It will be another cool and rainy day.
Rain looks to mainly be in the form of showers as well, so there is not a severe weather worry at this point.
Next Monday
We'll do it all over again next Monday with another round of rain.
This one could be a little heavier potentially with some thunderstorms as well. Right now, the severe threat appears low, but not zero.
The exact timing, coverage, and details will be worked out over the coming week.
14-day forecast
The pattern of rain chances every 2-3 days looks to continue into the second week of January as well. Temps will be up and down a bit, but no signs of significantly cool or warm weather on the horizon. Be sure to keep checking in!
