Friday morning(timing)

A cold front moved into the area Thursday night and increased the coverage of thunderstorms after 10 p.m. The good news: the hail threat and wind threat (while still there) will go down a bit. The baseball-size hail reports we saw earlier Thursday will be replaced with the chance of quarter-size hail. Another round of rain (NOT severe) moves in Friday morning.

Previous severe weather alerts from Thursday night are found below.

14-day outlook

Spring break continues for most of North Texas! Rain may linger Friday into the weekend, but that's not guaranteed for everyone and both Friday and Saturday do not look to be an all-day rain. It does look dry on Sunday for any St. Patrick's Day plans.
