Cold front arrives in North Texas

A cold front is moving through North Texas bringing gusty winds and cooler temps back to the area.

The sunshine and warm temps we had Wednesday are a distant memory.

A cold front moving through North Texas Thursday is bringing gusty winds, clouds, and cooler temps back to the area.

For most of North Texas (including the D-FW area) temps will either hold steady or cool the rest of the day.

Temps will hold steady or fall this afternoon thanks to a passing cold front.

Even though clouds will roll in after the front passes, widespread showers are very unlikely. However, some patchy drizzle or spotty showers are possible from the D-FW area to the east and southeast.

Spotty showers or drizzle are possible in North Texas today.

Any clouds will clear out heading into the nighttime hours with a cool to chilly start in store by Friday morning. Temps will be in the 40s and 50s to start Friday.

Temps will warm into the weekend, with highs in the 70s and 80s for Saturday and Sunday.
