Must-see video: Snake tries sneaking into Terminal D at DFW Airport

Officials at DFW Airport said they were unaware of any snakes attempting to board any planes or sneak into any terminals on Sunday.

DALLAS — A snake almost made its way onto a plane at DFW Airport on Sunday.

Emphasis on almost.

North Texas resident Olivia Constance captured some wild video at around 3 p.m. on Sunday in which a snake can be seen slithering toward an entrance at DFW Airport's Terminal D -- but ultimately coming up short in its effort.

Hey, doors are tricky when you don't have arms and you're too small to be recognized by automatic opening sensors!

So: What was the snake trying to do, exactly? We like the theory Constance and her companions can be heard offering up on her footage -- that the snake was maybe looking for a respite from the hot and muggy temperatures outside and hoping to soak up some air conditioning inside the terminal.

Alas, we can't be entirely sure. Spokespeople we reached out to DFW Airport for details about the incident said they were wholly unaware of any snake-related incidents at their facilities on Sunday.

As Constance tells it, however, the snake came up short in its efforts to enter the airport. The two men seen on video appeared to be working in an official capacity for the airport, doing all they could to turn the snake away from the door. One of the mean, she added, was also using a walkie talkie to talk over the situation with what sounded like colleagues.

Their discussion, she said, centered around waiting on wildlife experts to arrive on the scene and carry the snake away.

So no needs to worry too much about a potential Samuel L. Jackson-related situation departing from DFW Airport. In the end, the only place this serpent slithered off to was your nightmares.

Sssssssssleep tight!
